I have always believed that effective healthcare requires a balance of analytical skill and deep empathy. This duality is what drew me to Audiology – a profession where scientific, evidence-based practice meets the very human need for connection and communication.

I graduated with a Distinction from the University of Cape Town with a BSc. (Hons) in Audiology, where I was honored to receive the UCT Plus Gold Award for Leadership. During my time at UCT, I had the privilege of leading SHAWCO Audiology – a student-run volunteer service – where I supervised outreach clinics that brought hearing healthcare to underserved communities. The same passion I felt for improving healthcare access followed me to Limpopo, where I completed my community service year at Siloam Hospital. Working in a rural hospital presented unique challenges, but it immensely expanded my worldview as a clinician. It taught me the importance of adaptability, patience, and holistic care – lessons that continue to inspire my work every single day.

After community service, I worked for a short time in a Cape-based private audiology clinic, before becoming part of the NB Hearing & Balance team, where, with a full spectrum of advanced equipment and collaborative team support, I now take care of patients at our Sea Point branch.
