Meet Charlene Swanepoel,
WHOSE LIFE JOURNEY HAS INSTILLED IN HER COMPASSION, UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENCE.

I have had the privilege to work in many sectors of the employment industry, including administration, marketing, and debt review.

Recently, my life’s path has granted me the opportunity to work at NB Hearing Durbanville. My new position incorporates the skills that I have developed, but also touches a personal part of my own life. Within our family, my cousins and cousins’ children have visual and hearing impairments. Having to journey with them through life has taught me enormous compassion, understanding and patience. These qualities are of the utmost importance when you need to be an extra ear or eye for anybody with a disability, be it family, friend, or stranger! In the words of Mark Twain, “kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”.

Meet Charlene

The short time that I have spent at the Durbanville practice has broadened my knowledge and encouraged me to learn and achieve more in the medical industry of audiology. I get to meet and interact with a diversity of people and enjoy being a support system for our patients. A simple smile, a nod of understanding or a wink of shared support, can be what someone needs to carry them through the day!

We want to hear from you!

I work in the administrative department of the Durbanville practice with our in-house audiologist Anlu Kuhn. It is a great day, every day, in our practice and I am honoured to be part of this amazing team.
