Meet Gwen,
NOT YOUR TYPICAL MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST…
I joined the NB Hearing team in 2003 after I met Natalie through my mother who was hearing impaired. I have now worked at NB Hearing ever since then and I am truly passionate about my job. Because of my mother’s hearing impairment, I feel that I have a close connection with the patients that we see daily, as I understand what they are experiencing.

Before I joined NB Hearing, I worked as a receptionist at a general medical practice for 13 years. My exposure to the medical profession has helped me to become people-orientated and attuned to our patients’ needs. Since starting at NB Hearing, I have become Natalie’s right hand, personally ensuring that our practice runs smoothly and that every person we see, feels our commitment to their success.
Over the years, I have gained immense experience on the different types of hearing losses, and I am not only responsible for all accounts and troubleshooting at our Sea Point practice, but I also handle the cleaning of our patients’ hearing aids. Seeing the smiles on our patients’ faces once their hearing aids are properly fitted is truly rewarding and it is one of the main reasons why I enjoy my work.
We want to hear from you!

Seeing the smiles on our patients’ faces once their hearing aids are properly fitted is truly rewarding and it is one of the main reasons why I enjoy my work.
When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my children and grandchildren, and I also try to spend some of my time in the beautiful outdoors.
