Meet Anlu Kuhn, an audiologist

I was inspired to work with people with communication and hearing difficulties after noticing the big impact hearing difficulties had on my grandmother’s social interactions. I have always had a great passion for helping and working with people and having a career where this is my main priority is truly a blessing.

Meet Anne

I completed my degree in Speech Language and Hearing Therapy at the University of Stellenbosch. As soon as I started my studies, I developed a great interest in the ear-and-hearing system. Therefore, after graduating with my first degree, I decided to study Audiology further and completed my BSc in Audiology at the University of Cape Town. I completed my community service year in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) at the tertiary public hospital. Thereafter, in 2018, I started working as an Audiologist in private practice.

I am still early in my career but have already grown so much, not just as a clinician but also as a person. My clinical experiences have, in many ways, taught me to be fully present, understanding and caring. Our profession provides us with an opportunity to help people to manage their communication difficulties and improve quality of life. I enjoy getting to know my patients and help them find solutions so they can hear their best.

We want to hear from you!

Under the guidance of our leader, Natalie, who has 28 years of experience in the field, I am becoming an all-rounded clinician who strives for self-improvement so that I can care for my patients in a holistic manner. I am very fortunate to be part of a driven team who has their patients’ best interests at heart.

Outside of helping people in my work environment, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and travelling.
